Profil Biografi & Kisah Sukses Chairul Tanjung - Chirul Tanjung (CT) adalah konglomerat Indonesia yang namanya berada di urutan 937 dari 1000 orang terkaya di dunia versi majalah Forbes dengan total kekayaan senilai USD 1 miliar. Ayah CT adalah A.G. Tanjung, wartawan Orde Lama yang dulu pernah menerbitkan lima surat kabar beroplah kecil.

Pekerjaan yang dilakukan CT berbeda jauh dengan disiplin ilmu yang ditekuninya di bangku kuliah. Ketika menuntut ilmu di Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi UI tahun 1981, CT mengalami kesulitan finansial untuk biaya kuliah. Saat itulah kemampuannya berbisnis diasah. Ia mulai berbisnis kecil-kecilan menjual buku kuliah stensilan, kaos, dan sebagainya. Kemudian ia memiliki toko peralatan laboratorium dan kedokteran di bilangan Senen Raya, Jakarta Pusat, namun mengalami kebangkrutan.

Setelah itu ia mencoba membuka usaha kontraktor tetapi kurang berhasil sehingga ia bekerja di perusahaan baja. Lalu, ia pindah ke perusahaan rotan di mana ia bertemu dengan tiga orang rekan dan mendirikan PT. Pariarti Shindutama. Perusahaan ini memproduksi sepatu anak-anak untuk ekspor, dan CT beruntung usahanya kali ini menuai untung besar karena perusahaannya mendapat pesanan 160 ribu pasang sepatu anak-anak dari Italia. Seiring berjalannya waktu, akhirnya CT memutuskan untuk berkarya sendiri karena terjadi perbedaan paham dengan rekan-rekannya.

Lepas dari bisnis sepatu ekspor, CT mengarahkan usahanya ke konglomerasi dengan tiga bisnis inti, yaitu keuangan, properti, dan multi media. Di bidang keuangan, ia mengambil alih Bank Tugu yang sekarang menjadi Bank Mega yang kini merangkak naik menjadi bank kelas atas. Ia juga merambah ke bisnis sekuritas, asuransi jiwa, dan asuransi kerugian. Pada sektor sekuritas, CT memiliki perusahaan real estate dan membangun Bandung Supermall pada 1999.

Saat ini, CT berkecimpung di bisnis pertelevisian dengan mendirikan Trans Corp yang membawahi Trans TV dan Trans 7. Walaupun persaingan di industri pertelevisian semakin ketat, namun CT yakin Trans TV bisa terus berkembang melihat bahwa belanja TV nasional telah mencapai angka 6 triliun setahun dan 70% di antaranya akan diambil oleh televisi.

Selain Trans Corp., CT memiliki Para Group yang mengayomi 5.000 karyawan dengan Para Inti Holdindo sebagai kepala industri yang memiliki tiga anak perusahaan, yaitu Para Global Investindo (bisnis keuangan), Para Inti Investindo (media dan investasi) dan Para Inti Propertindo (properti).

CT melebarkan sayapnya di dunia bisnis dengan menggunakan Trans Corp untuk mengakuisi 40% saham PT Carrefour Indonesia senilai Rp 3 triliun melalui PT Trans Ritel. Setelah memiliki 40% saham Carrefour, ia kini menjadi komisaris utama PT Carrefour Indonesia didampingi oleh AM Hendropriyono (mantan Kepala BIN) dan S.Bimantoro (mantan petinggi Polri) sebagai komisaris.

Setelah akuisisi oleh Trans Corp, komposisi pemegang saham PT Carrefour Indonesia adalah Trans Ritel (40%), Carrefour SA 39%, Carrefour Netherland BV 9,5%, dan Onesia BV 11,5%. Dengan gurita bisnis seperti ini, CT menduduki posisi ke-13 dari total 40 orang terkaya di Indonesia pada tahun 2009 versi majalah Forbes.

CT mengaku lebih suka mengakuisisi dibandingkan membangun bisnis karena akusisi perusahaan membuat sinergi memperluas ladang usaha. Waktu saya memulai banyak waktu tapi enggak punya uang. Profil Biografi & Kisah Sukses Chairul Tanjung - Chirul Tanjung (CT) adalah konglomerat Indonesia yang namanya berada di urutan 937 dari 1000 orang terkaya di dunia versi majalah Forbes dengan total kekayaan senilai USD 1 miliar. Ayah CT adalah A.G. Tanjung, wartawan Orde Lama yang dulu pernah menerbitkan lima surat kabar beroplah kecil.

Pekerjaan yang dilakukan CT berbeda jauh dengan disiplin ilmu yang ditekuninya di bangku kuliah. Ketika menuntut ilmu di Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi UI tahun 1981, CT mengalami kesulitan finansial untuk biaya kuliah. Saat itulah kemampuannya berbisnis diasah. Ia mulai berbisnis kecil-kecilan menjual buku kuliah stensilan, kaos, dan sebagainya. Kemudian ia memiliki toko peralatan laboratorium dan kedokteran di bilangan Senen Raya, Jakarta Pusat, namun mengalami kebangkrutan.

Setelah itu ia mencoba membuka usaha kontraktor tetapi kurang berhasil sehingga ia bekerja di perusahaan baja. Lalu, ia pindah ke perusahaan rotan di mana ia bertemu dengan tiga orang rekan dan mendirikan PT. Pariarti Shindutama. Perusahaan ini memproduksi sepatu anak-anak untuk ekspor, dan CT beruntung usahanya kali ini menuai untung besar karena perusahaannya mendapat pesanan 160 ribu pasang sepatu anak-anak dari Italia. Seiring berjalannya waktu, akhirnya CT memutuskan untuk berkarya sendiri karena terjadi perbedaan paham dengan rekan-rekannya.

Lepas dari bisnis sepatu ekspor, CT mengarahkan usahanya ke konglomerasi dengan tiga bisnis inti, yaitu keuangan, properti, dan multi media. Di bidang keuangan, ia mengambil alih Bank Tugu yang sekarang menjadi Bank Mega yang kini merangkak naik menjadi bank kelas atas. Bob Sadino (Lampung, 9 Maret 1933), atau akrab dipanggil om Bob, adalah seorang pengusaha asal Indonesia yang berbisnis di bidang pangan dan peternakan. Ia adalah pemilik dari jaringan usahaKemfood dan Kemchick. Dalam banyak kesempatan, ia sering terlihat menggunakan kemeja lengan pendek dan celana pendek yang menjadi ciri khasnya. Bob Sadino lahir dari sebuah keluarga yang hidup berkecukupan. Ia adalah anak bungsu dari lima bersaudara. Sewaktu orang tuanya meninggal, Bob yang ketika itu berumur 19 tahun mewarisi seluruh harta kekayaan keluarganya karena saudara kandungnya yang lain sudah dianggap hidup mapan.

Bob kemudian menghabiskan sebagian hartanya untuk berkeliling dunia. Dalam perjalanannya itu, ia singgah di Belanda dan menetap selama kurang lebih 9 tahun. Di sana, ia bekerja di Djakarta Lylod di kota Amsterdam dan juga di Hamburg, Jerman. Ketika tinggal di Belanda itu, Bob bertemu dengan pasangan hidupnya, Soelami Soejoed.

Pada tahun 1967, Bob dan keluarga kembali ke Indonesia. Ia membawa serta 2 Mercedes miliknya, buatan tahun 1960-an. Salah satunya ia jual untuk membeli sebidang tanah di Kemang, Jakarta Selatan sementara yang lain tetap ia simpan. Setelah beberapa lama tinggal dan hidup di Indonesia, Bob memutuskan untuk keluar dari pekerjaannya karena ia memiliki tekad untuk bekerja secara mandiri.

Pekerjaan pertama yang dilakoninya setelah keluar dari perusahaan adalah menyewakan mobil Mercedes yang ia miliki, ia sendiri yang menjadi sopirnya. Namun sayang, suatu ketika ia mendapatkan kecelakaan yang mengakibatkan mobilnya rusak parah. Karena tak punya uang untuk memperbaikinya, Bob beralih pekerjaan menjadi tukang batu. Gajinya ketika itu hanya Rp.100. Ia pun sempat mengalami depresi akibat tekanan hidup yang dialaminya.

Suatu hari, temannya menyarankan Bob memelihara ayam untuk melawan depresi yang dialaminya. Bob tertarik. Ketika beternak ayam itulah muncul inspirasi berwirausaha. Bob memperhatikan kehidupan ayam-ayam ternaknya. Ia mendapat ilham, ayam saja bisa berjuang untuk hidup, tentu manusia pun juga bisa.

Sebagai peternak ayam, Bob dan istrinya, setiap hari menjual beberapa kilogram telor. Dalam tempo satu setengah tahun, ia dan istrinya memiliki banyak langganan, terutama orang asing, karena mereka fasih berbahasa Inggris. Bob dan istrinya tinggal di kawasan Kemang, Jakarta, di mana terdapat banyak menetap orang asing.

Tidak jarang pasangan tersebut dimaki pelanggan, babu orang asing sekalipun. Namun mereka mengaca pada diri sendiri, memperbaiki pelayanan. Perubahan drastis pun terjadi pada diri Bob, dari pribadi feodal menjadi pelayan. Setelah itu, lama kelamaan Bob yang berambut perak, menjadi pemilik tunggal super market (pasar swalayan) Kem Chicks. Ia selalu tampil sederhana dengan kemeja lengan pendek dan celana pendek.

Bisnis pasar swalayan Bob berkembang pesat, merambah ke agribisnis, khususnya holtikutura, mengelola kebun-kebun sayur mayur untuk konsumsi orang asing di Indonesia. Karena itu ia juga menjalin kerjasama dengan para petani di beberapa daerah.

Bob percaya bahwa setiap langkah sukses selalu diawali kegagalan demi kegagalan. Perjalanan wirausaha tidak semulus yang dikira. Ia dan istrinya sering jungkir balik. Baginya uang bukan yang nomor satu. Yang penting kemauan, komitmen, berani mencari dan menangkap peluang.

Di saat melakukan sesuatu pikiran seseorang berkembang, rencana tidak harus selalu baku dan kaku, yang ada pada diri seseorang adalah pengembangan dari apa yang telah ia lakukan. Kelemahan banyak orang, terlalu banyak mikir untuk membuat rencana sehingga ia tidak segera melangkah. “Yang paling penting tindakan,” kata Bob.

Keberhasilan Bob tidak terlepas dari ketidaktahuannya

sehingga ia langsung terjun ke lapangan. Setelah jatuh bangun, Bob trampil dan menguasai bidangnya. Proses keberhasilan Bob berbeda dengan kelaziman, mestinya dimulai dari ilmu, kemudian praktik, lalu menjadi trampil dan profesional.

Menurut Bob, banyak orang yang memulai dari ilmu, berpikir dan bertindak serba canggih, arogan, karena merasa memiliki ilmu yang melebihi orang lain.

Sedangkan Bob selalu luwes terhadap pelanggan, mau mendengarkan saran dan keluhan pelanggan. Dengan sikap seperti itu Bob meraih simpati pelanggan dan mampu menciptakan pasar. Menurut Bob, kepuasan pelanggan akan menciptakan kepuasan diri sendiri. Karena itu ia selalu berusaha melayani pelanggan sebaik-baiknya.

Kembali ke tanah air tahun 1967, setelah bertahun-tahun di Eropa dengan pekerjaan terakhir sebagai karyawan Djakarta Lloyd di Amsterdam dan Hamburg, Bob, anak bungsu dari lima bersaudara, hanya punya satu tekad, bekerja mandiri. Ayahnya, Sadino, pria Solo yang jadi guru kepala di SMP dan SMA Tanjungkarang, meninggal dunia ketika Bob berusia 19.

Modal yang ia bawa dari Eropa, dua sedan Mercedes buatan tahun 1960-an. Satu ia jual untuk membeli sebidang tanah di Kemang, Jakarta Selatan. Ketika itu, kawasan Kemang sepi, masih terhampar sawah dan kebun. Sedangkan mobil satunya lagi ditaksikan, Bob sendiri sopirnya.

Suatu kali, mobil itu disewakan. Ternyata, bukan uang yang kembali, tetapi berita kecelakaan yang menghancurkan mobilnya. ”Hati saya ikut hancur,” kata Bob. Kehilangan sumber penghasilan, Bob lantas bekerja jadi kuli bangunan. Padahal, kalau ia mau, istrinya, Soelami Soejoed, yang berpengalaman sebagai sekretaris di luar negeri, bisa menyelamatkan keadaan. Tetapi, Bob bersikeras, ”Sayalah kepala keluarga. Saya yang harus mencari nafkah.”

Untuk menenangkan pikiran, Bob menerima pemberian 50 ekor ayam ras dari kenalannya, Sri Mulyono Herlambang. Dari sini Bob menanjak: Ia berhasil menjadi pemilik tunggal Kem Chicks dan pengusaha perladangan sayur sistem hidroponik. Lalu ada Kem Food, pabrik pengolahan daging di Pulogadung, dan sebuah ”warung” shaslik di Blok M, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta. Catatan awal 1985 menunjukkan, rata-rata per bulan perusahaan Bob menjual 40 sampai 50 ton daging segar, 60 sampai 70 ton daging olahan, dan 100 ton sayuran segar.

”Saya hidup dari fantasi,” kata Bob menggambarkan keberhasilan usahanya. Ayah dua anak ini lalu memberi contoh satu hasil fantasinya, bisa menjual kangkung Rp 1.000 per kilogram. ”Di mana pun tidak ada orang jual kangkung dengan harga segitu,” kata Bob.

Om Bob, panggilan akrab bagi anak buahnya, tidak mau bergerak di luar bisnis makanan. Baginya, bidang yang ditekuninya sekarang tidak ada habis-habisnya. Karena itu ia tak ingin berkhayal yang macam-macam.

Haji yang berpenampilan nyentrik ini, penggemar berat musik klasik dan jazz. Saat-saat yang paling indah baginya, ketika shalat bersama istri dan dua anaknya.

Pria berumur 19 tahun ini adalah seorang Entrepreneur Muda yang sukses, Pemuda kelahiran Jakarta, 26 April 1993 memang sudah memiliki bakat bisnis sejak masih kecil mulai dari menjual kelereng, gambaran, petasan hingga menjual koran, menjadi tukang parkir serta ojek payung pernah dilakukannya.

Pada pertengahan kelas 2 SMA, ia menangkap peluang bisnis lagi. Ketika sedang mengikuti seminar dan komunitas bisnis pelajar bertajuk Community of Motivator and Entrepreneur (COME), Hamzah bertemu dengan mitra bisnisnya yang menawari usaha franchise bimbingan belajar (bimbel) bernama Bintang Solusi Mandiri. “Rekan bisnis saya itu juga masih sangat muda, usianya baru 23 tahun. Tapi bimbelnya sudah 44 cabang,”

Hamzah lalu diberi prospektus dan laporan keuangan salah satu cabang bimbel di lokasi Johar Baru, Jakarta Pusat, yang kebetulan ingin di-take over dengan harga jual sebesar Rp175 juta. Dengan hanya memegang modal Rp5 juta, pengusaha muda lulusan SMAN 21 Jakarta Timur ini melobi sang ayah untuk meminjam uang sebagai tambahan modal bisnisnya. “Saya meminjam Rp70 juta dari ayah yang seharusnya uang itu ingin dibelikan mobil. Saya lalu melobi rekan saya untuk membayar Rp75 juta dulu dan sisanya yang Rp100 juta dicicil dari keuntungan tiap semester. Alhamdulillah, permintaan saya dipenuhi,”.

Dari franchise bimbel itu, bisnis Hamzah berkembang pesat. Keuntungan demi keuntungan selalu diputarnya untuk membuat bisnisnya lebih maju lagi. Kini, Hamzah telah memiliki 3 lisensi franchise bimbel dengan jumlah siswa diatas 200 orang tiap semester. Total omzet yang diperolehnya sebesar Rp360 juta/semester dengan nett profit sekitar Rp180 juta/semester. Sukses mengelola bisnis franchise bimbelnya, Hamzah lalu melirik bisnis kerajinan SofaBed di area Tangerang.

Sejak bulan Agustus 2011, bisnis Hamzah telah resmi berbadan hukum dengan nama CV Hamasa Indonesia. Lulusan SMA tahun 2011 ini duduk sebagai direktur utama di perusahaan miliknya yang omzetnya secara keseluruhan mencapai Rp100 juta per bulan.

Biografi Soedono Salim - Pengusaha Sukses Indonesia

Soedono Salim atau Liem Sioe Liong lahir di Tiongkok tanggal 19 Juli 1916, Dia merupakan pendiri Grup Salim. Kepemilikan Grup Salim meliputi Indofood, Indomobil, Indocement, Indosiar, BCA, Indomaret, Indomarco, PT Mega, Bank Windu Kencana, PT Hanurata, dan PT Waringin Kencana dan lain-lain. Dia merupakan salah satu konglomerat dan pengusaha sukses asal Indonesia. Ia sempat menduduki peringkat pertama sebagai orang terkaya di Indonesia dan Asia. Perjalanan suksesnya dimulai di sebuah pelabuhan kecil. Fukien di bilangan Selatan Benua Tiongkok. Dia dilahirkan di situ pada tahun 1916. Kakaknya yang tertua Liem Sioe Hie kini berusia 77 tahun sejak tahun 1922 telah lebih dulu beremigrasi ke Indonesia yang waktu itu masih jajahan Belanda kerja di sebuah perusahaan pamannya di kota Kudus.

Di tengah hiruk pikuknya usaha ekspansi Jepang ke Pasifik, dibarengi dengan dongeng harta karun kerajaan-kerajaan Eropa di Asia Tenggara, maka pada tahun 1939, Liem Sioe Liong mengikuti jejak abangnya yang tertua. Dari Fukien, ia Berangkat ke Amoy, dimana bersandar sebuah kapal dagang Belanda yang membawanya menyeberangi Laut Tiongkok. Sebulan untuk kemudian sampai di Indonesia. Sejak dulu, kota Kudus sudah terkenal sebagai pusat pabrik rokok kretek, yang sangat banyak membutuhkan bahan baku tembakau dan cengkeh. Dan sejak jamam revolusi Liem Sioe Liong sudah terlatih menjadi supplier cengkeh, dengan jalan menyelundupkan bahan baku tersebut dari Maluku, Sumatera, Sulawesi Utara melalui Singapura untuk kemudian melalui jalur-jalur khusus penyelundupan menuju Kudus. Sehingga tidak heran dagang cengkeh merupakan salah satu pilar utama bisnis Liem Sioe Liong pertama sekali, disamping sektor tekstil. Dulu juga dia, banyak mengimpor produksi pabrik tekstil murahan dari Shanghai.

Di Kudus Liem berkenalan dengan gadis asal Lasem. Gadis itu sekolah di sekolah Belanda Tionghoa. Liem melamarnya, tapi orangtua si gadis tidak mengizinkan, lantaran takut anak gadisnya akan dibawa ke Tiongkok. Kekuatiran itu timbul melihat tampang Liem yang masih totok. Tapi, Liem tak mau menyerah. Akhirnya lamarannya diterima dan diizinkan menikah. Pesta pernikahannya, bahkan dirayakan selama 12 hari. Maklum, keluarga istrinya cukup terpandang. Setelah menikah, Liem makin ulet bekerja dan berusaha. Usahanya berkembang. Tapi, ketika awal 1940-an, Jepang menjajah Indonesia, usahanya bangkrut. Ditambah lagi, dia mengalami kecelakaan. Mobil yang ditumpanginya masuk jurang. Seluruh temannya meninggal. Hanya Liem yang selamat, setelah tak sadarkan diri selama dua hari. Kemudian, Liem pindah ke Jakarta.


Seirama dengan masa pemerintahan dan pembangunan Orde Baru, bisnisnya pun berkembang demikian pesat. Pada tahun 1969, Om Liem bersama Sudwikatmono, Djuhar Sutanto dan Ibrahim Risjad, yang belakangan disebut sebagai The Gang of Four, mendirikan CV Waringin Kentjana. Om Liem sebagai chairman dan Sudwikatmono sebagai CEO. The Gang of Four ini kemudian tahun 1970 mendirikan pabrik tepung terigu PT Bogasari dengan modal pinjaman dari pemerintah. Bogasari yang memonopoli suplai tepung terigu untuk Indonesia bagian Barat, yang meliputi sekitar 2/3 penduduk Indonesia, di samping PT. Prima untuk Indonesia bagian Timur. Hampir di setiap perusahaan Liem Sioe Liong dia berkongsi dengan Djuhar Sutanto alias Lin Wen Chiang yang juga seorang Tionghoa asal Fukien. Bogasari sebuah perusahaan swasta yang paling unik di Indonesia. Barangkali hanya Bogasarilah yang diberikan pemerintah fasilitas punya pelabuhan sendiri, dan kapal-kapal raksasa dalam hubungan perteriguan bisa langsung merapat ke pabrik.

Ketika pertama berdiri, PT Bogasari berkantor di Jalan Asemka, Jakarta dengan kantor hanya seluas 100 meter. Kemudian tahun 1975 kelompok ini mendirikan pabrik semen PT Indocement Tunggal Perkasa. Pabrik ini melejit bahkan nyaris memonopoli semen di Indonesia. Sehingga kelompok ini sempat digelari Tycoon of Cement. Setelah itu, The Gang of Four ditambah Ciputra mendirikan perusahaan real

estate PT Metropolitan Development, yang membangun perumahan mewah Pondok Indah dan Kota Mandiri Bumi Serpong Damai. Selain itu, Om Liem juga mendirikan kerajaan bisnis bidang otomotif di bawah bendera PT Indomobil.

Bahkan merambah ke bidang perbankan dengan mendirikan Bank Central Asia (BCA) bersama Mochtar Riyadi. Di tahun 1970-an. Bank Central Asia ini telah bertumbuh menjadi bank swasta kedua terbesar di Indonesia dengan total asset sebesar US$ 99 juta. Belakangan Mochtar Riady membangun Lippo Bank. Ketika itu, Om Liem pernah jadi orang terkaya di Indonesia dan Asia. Serta masuk daftar 100 orang terkaya dunia. Namun, seirama dengan mundurnya Presiden Soeharto dan akibat terjadi krisis moneter, bisnis dan kekayaannya pun turun. Bahkan, Om Liem terpaksa memilih bermukim di Singapura, setelah rumahnya di Gunung Sahari dijarah massa reformasi. Setelah peristiwa tersebut, ia mulai mengalihkan kepengurusan bisnisnya kepada anaknya Anthony Salim, lalu pindah dan tinggal di Singapura hingga tutup usia. Ia dikenal luas masyarakat dekat dengan mantan Presiden ke-2 Indonesia Soeharto. Usahanya diteruskan anaknya yakni Anthony Salim dan menantunya Franciscus Welirang.


Begitu perkasanya dia di bidang perekonomian Indonesia dewasa ini, mungkin menjadi titik tolak majalah Insight, Asia’s Business Mountly terbitan Hongkong dalam penerbitan bulan Mei tahun ini, menampilkan lukisan karikatural Liem Sioe Liong berpakaian gaya Napoleon Bonaparte. Dadanya penuh ditempeli lencana-lencana perusahaannya. Perusahaan holding company-nya bernama PT Salim Economic Development Corporation punya berbagai macam kegiatan yang dibagi-bagi atas berbagai jenis divisi; masing-masing adalah:

1. divisi perdagangan
2. divisi industri
3. divisi bank dan asuransi
4. divisi pengembangan (yang bergerak dibidang hasil hutan dan konsesi hutan)
5. divisi properti yang bergerak dibidang real estate, perhotelan, dan pemborong
6. divisi perdagangan eceran
7. divisi joint venture.

Setiap divisi membawahi beberapa arah perusahaan raksasa, berbentuk perseroan-perseroan terbatas. Pelbagai kemungkinan untuk lebih mengembangkan lajunya perusahaan sekalipun tidak akan meningkatkan permodalan, seperti go-public di pasar saham Jakarta, – dilangsungkan group Soedono Lem Salim dengan gencar. Halangan maupun isu bisnis yang mengancam perusahaannya, nampak tak membuat Liem cemas. Seperti katanya kepada Review,

“Jika anda hanya mendengarkan apa yang dikatakan orang, anda akan gila. Anda harus melakukan apa yang anda yakini.”

Bermodal kalimat pendeknya itu pulalah mengantar Liem Sioe Liong muda di Kudus yang juga terkenal sebagai Lin Shao Liang menjadi Soedono Salim si Raja Dagang Indonesia, belakangan ini.

Sudono Salim atau Liem Sioe Liong meninggal dunia dalam usia 96 tahun. Berdasarkan informasi yang beredar, pengusaha kakap itu wafat di Singapura pada tanggal 10 Juni 2012.
